Truly exceptional events, Aurora Picture Show’s annual Aurora Award Dinners honor the most significant media artists for extraordinary originality in media and multimedia art. This year’s award will be presented to Joan Jonas, known for her American post-war contemporary art and works in several mediums including performance art, video art, sculpture, filmmaking, photography and painting. She is also the first recipient of the Guggenheim’s annual Lifetime Achievement Award.
